Tips for a watermark that works

  • A small watermark in a corner is easy to crop out. If you sell your photos, tile it across the image at 15–30% opacity.
  • Use white text on dark photos and dark text on light ones, or add a shadow so it shows on both.
  • Keep your original files. A watermark is baked into the downloaded copy and can't be switched off later.
